Things of Things
Saída Sul (Brazil/Portugal)

All the things we have awaken in us some memory. And if things could also remember, what would their perspectives be like? What happens when we give life to things? After this show of Clowning, Impro and Object Theater, things will not be the same as before.

No Edit
Momentum (Israel)

"No Edit" is a roller-coaster that will have you crying with both laughter and emotion. It maintains a dizzying pace and a frantic energy through its trademark rule: No Edits! Each scene blends and morphs into the next without leaving the stage empty even for an instant. This unique combination makes it the ultimate fusion of raw and pure improvisation and poignant storytelling!

Object of Affection
Flock Theatre (Netherlands)

Love is the common feeling bounding all the living creatures on earth. But what if objects can fall in love, have their heart broken or live happily ever after? Maybe a pencil and an eraser can have a future. Or maybe true love is out of reach for a tea kettle and a chocolate tab. In this duoshow, we follow the impossible love story between two objects or animals. Will they succeed to see beyond their differences? Will they be accepted in their lover’s family? Will love win overall?

Henri & Margaret
You & Me (France and Poland)

Henri and Margaret are very old. They love each other. And sometimes they hate each other. For sure, they cannot live one without the other... In this show, you'll meet them as they are now, maybe a bit grampy but also funny and lovely! You'll learn and see about their past, their dreams, their life. What joyful and challenging moments they had to go through and made them who they are as individuals and as a couple. Living as a couple for so many years is not a quiet river...

What Has Passed Us By
Mauricio Flórez (Colombia/Portugal)

In an unprecedented meeting of improvisation, a Colombian artist and an Israeli artist meet for the first time to update their personal collections of inspirations, memories and references through dance and music. Everything that composes and excites them, everything that they were and are, experiences that crossed the bodies and that still manifest themselves to continue living in us.

A Hero Story
The Dodot (Israel)

Story-telling is the oldest form of art, and a hero story is the most classic form of story. Join us on a crazy journey, in a format that the only thing we can promise is a well-crafted story and wild energy.

Missing
Cardume (Portugal)

Saudade: a Portuguese word that is often said to be untranslatable, a paradox word that a poet described as “a good that one suffers and an evil that one enjoys”, a word that is said about the past but that we also feel about the future, a word that we cannot explain in words. That's why we make a play, just improvising.

MIXED TEAM:
How to Improvise Murder

Dir. Nick Maaß  (Germany)

Next to internationally popular formats, German improv audiences are obsessed with Crime Stories. Sure, Germans are a little crazy about detectives, but improvising an exciting criminal case creates tension and suspense wherever you perform it, especially when the players and the audience are both asking themselves: whodunnit?

Labels
Rainbow Warriors (Belgium and Netherlands)

Impulsively people often think in stereotypes. Whilst as an LGBTQIA+ improv collective, Rainbow Warriors stand for: label us all you want, just don’t stop with one label. Meanwhile... hop on a unicorn and join these promiscuous, well-dressed, musical theatre-loving gay guys for a rollercoaster of a comedy show. Where personal stories and disarming questions lead into wild adventures with probably a bit of glitter and definitely a ton of self-mockery.

The king wants a theatre play. He doesn't know what he wants, but he wants it right now. A playwright and a jester must collaborate to create a story to satisfy the king and they only have 30 minutes to please the king's whim. Their lives depend on it.

July 30 (Saturday)

"Until the lion learns to speak, the story will be told by the hunter" (burkina faso proverb). The myths and stories of our people guide us in our decisions. When that is taken away and erased from us, we turn to the imagination and create our own narrative and story so that no one else can do it for us. On stage, a word is created with the audience, and from it a legacy of stories and images.

Moms: A Celebration
Hawn and Hudson (Netherlands)

Some mothers are kind. Some are strict. Some are childish, nerdy, or way too much into soccer. Some keep rearranging your spice rack when they visit even if you’ve asked them not to. Some daughters always visit, some live out their mother's childhood dreams and some will forever be that little girl that needs reassurance. Nardje Trepels and Jenny Hasenack tell a few of the infinite amount of stories about mothers and their children – including some of their own.

The BIG Musical
BIG - Barcelona Improv Group (Spain)

This is a never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen-again musical comedy The BIG Musical, complete with show-stopping musical numbers, epic storylines, larger than life characters, and a healthy dose of that Broadway sparkle.
